I originally wanted to be a Chiropractor or Physiotherapist. I went on to complete the first year of a science degree, with the aim to head in this direction, and was fascinated by the science, and how the human body works, so I went on to complete my Honours and Masters degrees, and worked in pharmaceutical development at CSL. I still have a fascination for science, and how science, particularly pathology, can impact human health, and still work in this field.
I was a makeup and beauty product junkie, and inspired by my science background, and was always on the lookout for the latest products and techniques. This led to a number of friends asking me to help with their wedding makeup. I then pursued some beauty education, and started SGD Body & Beauty. Working full time, she had often seen the gap in the market, and was inspired to offer mobile services instead of working in, or opening a salon.
I am a qualified Biomedical Scientist, and working in sales, understand the importance of staying fit, and keeping healthy. I have 5 years experience as a yoga teacher (RYT-200 Yoga Alliance International), and is also a qualified Barre instructor (Barre Attack & Les Mills). I am an RYT-200 (200hr qualified yoga teacher (Yoga Flame, 2016), and have completed my Cert IV in Fitness (Fit College, 2020), Barre Attack (2018) and Les Mills Barre (2019) instructor training. After seeing the difference which mindset and mental health can make, I also completed my meditation teacher training with 1 Giant Mind (2018).
I offer a range of mind and body sessions, and beauty and makeup services, including makeup, manicures, pedicures, massage, facials, and spray tans. In addition, I also offer a full range of nutrition, beauty and personal care products.
